I can relate to the ESL expereince. I felt I was more of an entertainer rather than a teacher. I avoided answering questions on grammar as much as I could.

I have had both great and horroble experiences of learning Japanese from native speakers. Ironically, the less qualified the teacher and the more casual the learning environment the better the learning expereince was.

Now I turn to comedy to improve Japanese.
